Kingmakers, a Game Merging Modern Weaponry with Medieval Combat, Faces Delay Before Launch

The strategy game Kingmakers experiences a last-minute delay just days before its scheduled early access release without a new launch date.

Just five days before its scheduled launch into early access on Steam, Kingmakers, a game set to revolutionize the medieval combat genre with modern weaponry, has been postponed. The developers, Redemption Road, did not provide a new release target, raising questions among eager fans about the game’s status.

The delay announcement revealed that the studio aims to push the Unreal Engine 4 to its limits, ensuring it can deliver a smooth 60 frames per second on mid-range PCs without relying on artificial frames. To achieve this, they intend to refine the content further before charging players for the game.

They also stated, “We want every player to feel their purchase was worthwhile, regardless of whether they have a cutting-edge PC or an older setup.”

The lack of a new launch window has led to some discontent among followers, with accusations of potential scams surfacing. However, without any crowdfunding or pre-orders, branding the project as a scam may be premature.

Ultimately, it remains a disappointment for those who were anticipating its arrival imminently.
