Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Beta Faces Low Player Count
The launch of the Black Ops 7 beta has seen disappointing player numbers in its initial hours.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta has had a rough beginning, with player counts reaching just under 75,000 on Steam during its first day. The beta is currently locked to those who pre-ordered or received access codes through various promotions, meaning that broader player feedback will have to wait until the open beta starts on October 5. This initial count can’t compete with the earlier beta for Battlefield 6, which hit over 521,000 players.

Currently, the numbers could increase as the beta period proceeds towards the weekend and might improve as more players gain access.
Black Ops 7’s Beta Peaks at Less Than 80,000 Players on Steam
Following the COD Next event on September 30, excitement for Call of Duty’s latest title seemed to blossom, but player engagement has been lackluster at best. After the initial launch, it was noted that the player count for the Call of Duty beta only managed to exceed daily averages by about 40,000 players.
