Treyarch Developers Emphasize Community Feedback for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Beta

Treyarch is set to launch the beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, paying close attention to community feedback to enhance player satisfaction.

The beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 kicks off today for a select few who were granted early access, while the public can dive in starting October 5. Despite lower expectations, influenced partly by Battlefield 6, the developers at Treyarch are committed to showcasing their best work.

One of the critical aspects of this beta will be gauging community feedback, assessing whether players are satisfied with what Treyarch has to offer this year or if they will face an influx of complaints.

“There are a lot of fans out there from our community who do give us a lot of constructive feedback, and we really appreciate it,” said Miles Leslie, Associate Creative Director. “We welcome all constructive feedback—‘constructive’ being the key thing there. To be quite honest with you, we will be looking at everything.”

Leslie indicated that feedback will be pivotal from the beta through to launch and beyond. Lawrence Metten, Associate Design Director, highlighted how team members are keen on improving aspects like perk distributions based on player reactions.

“If you want ‘Tac-Sprint’, then you can take the ‘Tac Sprinter’ Perk,” explained Matt Scronce, Design Director. “We have already implemented adjustments that will feature in the beta build as we really try to nail our Perk distribution.”

Despite optimism from the developers, the tight timeline raises questions about how much can be adjusted in less than a month. While Leslie remains confident about the possibility of effectuating changes, there are concerns that Battlefield 6’s momentum could overshadow their efforts.

The latest entries in the Call of Duty series have faced criticism, with players expressing the need for a revival as repetitive mechanics and unoriginal features dominate recent games. The upcoming beta could serve as a crucial step toward revitalizing interest in the franchise.
