Hero Completes Silksong Using a Saxophone, Claims It's Not the Toughest Game He's Completed

A gamer made headlines after achieving a 100% completion of Hollow Knight: Silksong with a saxophone controller, stating it wasn't as difficult as some of his previous challenges.

Doot.

Probably my most impressive single achievement in videogames is, hm, platinum’ing Spelunky, maybe? Which isn’t very impressive, the observant among you may note, and feels all the more unremarkable now people are out here 100% beating Hollow Knight: Silksong on a saxophone.

“SILKSONG ON A SAX IS 100% COMPLETE!!!” - Dr Doot, September 30, 2025

I guess that thing isn’t technically a sax, but rather an “electronic wind instrument with the same key layout as a saxophone.” On its back sits a “mod wheel” for controlling movement, and there’s translation software that converts his notes into game commands. He mentions that it’s not his hardest challenge yet, with that honor going to Lies of P.

This method isn’t flawless; sometimes, the saxophone misinterprets inputs, which makes the activities more challenging. Yet, it’s a remarkable accomplishment that leads us to wonder who’s next to conquer the game using an unconventional tool.
