Early access to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 open beta is currently live on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, but several users are encountering difficulties while trying to participate. The main way to gain early access is through pre-ordering, but numerous codes have been distributed through promotions as well. Regrettably, those who acquired a code without making a pre-order seem to face access issues.
In addition to the early access problems, players are expressing concerns following a delay in code distribution after the annual COD Next event, which took place on September 30. Activision had assured fans that those who watched an hour of the event would receive a code for the beta, provided their Twitch and Activision accounts were linked. However, many users reported that they did not receive their codes despite meeting the criteria.
Call of Duty Error Preventing Fans From Playing Black Ops 7 Beta
Soon after the Black Ops 7 beta commenced, fans took to social media to highlight issues preventing them from accessing the game. Various posts appeared on Reddit questioning why Call of Duty displayed an error message stating that players could not access the beta, even though they had a valid early access code. The error seems particularly prevalent among users attempting to play via Battle.net.
Fortunately, a workaround has been shared where players can change their region settings to Asia before launching the game, then switch back, which is reported to resolve some issues. Activision has announced that the problem affecting Battle.net users has been addressed.
Despite these efforts, numerous comments indicate that issues are still occurring on consoles. One Twitter user expressed frustration: “What about consoles!? It keeps asking me to preorder the game after inputting the beta code.” Others have stated the problems persist on Battle.net as well, illustrating the continued struggles players face.
Fortunately, the beta will remain available until October 8, giving those who can’t access it now a chance to join the action soon. Players eager to enjoy the Black Ops 7 beta can strive for various rewards, including cosmetic items and operator skins, with the cap reaching Level 20 during early access. Once it opens to all players, the level cap will increase to Level 30, complete with an exclusive weapon blueprint at max level.
While players will not have full access to every map and mode, the beta offers six multiplayer maps and six game modes to experience.
