'We want to keep experimenting': Silent Hill f won't become the new norm as Konami seeks distinct flavors for each Silent Hill game

Konami aims to diversify the Silent Hill series by ensuring that each game presents its own unique elements while retaining core themes.

Silent Hill f may appear very different from other titles within Konami’s horror franchise, given that it is not set in the infamous town and unfolds during the 1960s, yet it shares fundamental aspects common to the series.

Producer’s Insights

According to series producer Motoi Okamoto, the game encapsulates the protagonist’s psychological journey as she confronts her trauma and internal conflicts, which captures the essence of the franchise.

Okamoto stated, “We want each new Silent Hill game to deliver a unique experience without necessarily following the Silent Hill f formula. Our ambition revolves around creating games that are varied and continuously challenge players.”

With aspirations for future installments, Konami intends to explore new gameplay styles and narratives, maintaining a strong focus on storytelling and psychological depth that captures the heart of Silent Hill.
