Amazon Announces Major Revamp of Prime Gaming Service

Amazon has announced the discontinuation of its Prime Gaming brand, assuring users that their benefits will remain intact as the service shifts to Amazon Luna.

Amazon has announced that it is discontinuing the Prime Gaming brand, which may seem alarming to subscribers. However, the company assures users that the changes will not affect their benefits significantly.

As a part of this transition, Amazon will integrate Prime Gaming services into its Amazon Luna cloud gaming platform. Prime subscribers will still enjoy the same perks, including a monthly free Twitch subscription for their chosen channel without needing to spend extra money. Users can continue to access free games monthly through this new structure.

Changes to Prime Gaming

The transition means that while the brand name may vary, users will not lose out on their existing benefits. They can still receive Twitch subscriptions, chat enhancements, and enjoy a vast library of free games. This is not the first time Amazon has made similar changes; in 2020, the service was renamed from Twitch Prime to Prime Gaming, and received a similar benefit overhaul.

New Changes to Prime Gaming

Given Amazon’s commitment to its streaming and gaming ecosystem, it’s unlikely that significant drawbacks will arise for current users as the integration takes place.
