Summer Eternal Shares First Game Details via Unique Analog Journal

Summer Eternal plans to announce its debut game through a unique analog medium, blending a vinyl record with a book of art, essays, and development diaries.

The rise of Summer Eternal, a newly established RPG studio created by former writers of the famous game Disco Elysium, has generated excitement with its unique approach to unveiling its first game. Departing from traditional announcements, the studio will ship an exclusive Anthology Volume One, comprised of art, essays, and dev diaries, alongside a vinyl record of the project’s soundtrack.

This innovative format aims to engage fans by providing a deeper understanding of the game’s development journey and creative vision. “This Anthology serves as a mix of a cultural journal and development diary, chronicling our initial year and setting the scene for what’s to come,” the studio mentions.

Pricing for the Anthology starts at €69 for just the book, and €99 for the book plus the vinyl, with profits directed to the artists before funding the studio’s first project, internally codenamed Red Rooster. The launch will be coordinated globally, creating a unique reveal experience.

Both Argo Tuulik and Dora Klindžić were notable writers for Disco Elysium, notably contributing to the character Cuno. The duo’s past experiences and creative ambitions fuel the anticipation surrounding Summer Eternal’s first venture into game development.
