Xbox Game Pass Expands Its Library
Xbox Game Pass has officially included Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light in its catalog. This game marks the 14th and final entry to the service for the month of September 2025, and overall, it is the 122nd new release for Xbox Game Pass since the beginning of the year.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is a 2010 isometric action-adventure title that marked a number of milestones for the franchise. It was the first game to omit the Tomb Raider branding, offer cooperative play, and be released exclusively in a digital format. Developed by Crystal Dynamics and originally published by Square Enix, it has now returned to its creators following a shift in rights.
Game Availability Through Xbox Game Pass
This title debuted on Microsoft’s subscription service on September 30 and, while it’s not a day-one release, it can be accessed with any Xbox Game Pass membership, barring the entry-level XGP Core subscription. Despite celebrating its 15th anniversary in August, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light has never been featured on Xbox Game Pass until now.
Lara Croft Gameplay
Subscribers to the service can enjoy the newly added game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It’s also available for streaming via the recently enhanced Xbox Cloud Gaming service, which is offered on all non-PC tiers of Xbox Game Pass. It’s expected that Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will remain in the Xbox Game Pass library for at least a year.
Upcoming Titles on Xbox Game Pass
The next update for Xbox Game Pass is set for October 1, which will see the addition of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, Cities: Skylines – Remastered, and Disney Dreamlight Valley. Anticipated releases on October 7 include Sopa – Tale of the Stolen Potato and Little Rocket Lab.
Additionally, Xbox Game Pass will see new titles throughout October, with more announcements expected.
In related news, Xbox Game Pass is scheduled to remove three titles today, all part of the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection. Fortunately, the franchise won’t remain absent from the service for long, as Ninja Gaiden 4 is anticipated to join the lineup on October 21.
