Code Vein 2 Set for January Release: Start 2026 Hunting Down Vampires

The upcoming sequel to Code Vein promises new gameplay elements, including time travel and unique monsters, as it launches at the beginning of 2026.

The year 2026 will begin with the highly anticipated release of Code Vein 2, as players get ready to hunt down revenants—although they shouldn’t be labeled as vampires in the series.

Release Information:
During Sony’s latest State of Play, Bandai Namco unveiled a new trailer showcasing the game as well as its release date, slated for January 30. Various platforms, including Steam, mention the launch date as January 29, possibly due to timezone discrepancies.

Gameplay Elements

While indeed Code Vein refers to its in-game monsters as revenants, the terms may vary in folklore. A revenant is typically characterized as a spirit or corpse returned from death.

This sequel introduces exciting gameplay mechanics such as battles alongside new gameplay features, including time manipulation through a companion character and immersive abilities. Players can also utilize a blood mechanic to drain enemies’ blood and execute powerful moves. Expect to see bizarre, organic wolves emerging from your character’s shoulders and weapons made from unsettling materials.

Pre-purchase Details:
The game is currently available for pre-purchase, offering a few premium editions that unlock early access on January 26. Players might want to tread carefully as they await further updates before diving in.
