Helldivers 2 Developers Acknowledge Player Expectations Following Recent Update Issues
Developers respond to players' demands for better performance and communication after ongoing issues with Helldivers 2.
Helldivers 2 is currently going through a tough phase once again, having suffered from various performance issues and crashes following its recent patch. These problems have led to a number of negative reviews on platforms like Steam, with the game barely retaining a ‘Mixed’ score as it grapples with stability, bugs, and an inflated file size.
In light of the feedback, Arrowhead Studios has acknowledged the community’s concerns. A post in the Helldivers 2 Discord from community manager Baskinator shared the developers’ awareness of the ongoing issues, stating, “We know many of you have been experiencing issues, including performance drops, stability hiccups, freezes, and the annoying audio bugs.”
“We’ve seen the feedback across Discord, forums, Reddit, and our dashboards. You’ve been loud, clear, and absolutely right to expect better. We also recognize that our recent updates haven’t hit the mark, and our silence hasn’t helped. That’s on us. We read all of it, and we are hard at work creating a roadmap to address this.”
Furthermore, Arrowhead has announced a mid-October patch aimed at solving some of these critical issues, including crash fixes and minor performance improvements. However, they caution that more significant performance issues will require a longer timeline to address effectively.
Players are encouraged to stay tuned for more information, as the developers have promised more transparency and effective communication moving forward.
